Mole Valley Farmers are very pleased to be sponsoring the National Sheepdog Trials.
After an extremely successful event held in 2009, the National Sheepdog Trials are returning to Castle Hill Estate, Filleigh, North Devon by kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Arran, on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2013. The three day event will be held in conjunction with the Devon Country Fayre where event organisers expect to attract over 20,000 competitors and visitors from all over the country.
Mole Valley Farmers are very pleased to be sponsors again for this event which showcases the best sheepdogs in the country in the beautiful surroundings of Castle Hill which provides an idyllic setting for the three days of competitions.
David Kennard, of the National Sheep Dog Trials and local sheep farmer explains ”We are delighted to be returning to Castle Hill and supporting the local Devon community, in conjunction with the Devon Country Fayre, which complements our event programme and will introduce many new people to the competition”.
The Devon Country Fayre will run alongside the trials at the front of the main house where visitors can browse a range of trade stands,sample locally produced foods, enjoy exciting demonstrations and entertained by rural craftsmen, or just take a picnic and explore the beautiful gardens of the estate.
Lady Arran comments, “We are delighted that the National Trials have asked us to host the event at Castle Hill. So many people have enquired about when the Devon Country Fayre will Be organised again, since being held three years ago. We also expect to raise a substantial amount of money for charity, with all proceeds from the event going to support the North Devon Hospice”.
